Privacy
ucontent is built so there is as little as possible to leak.
What this site never stores
- Your IP address. The moment a request arrives, the site replaces it with a keyed one-way hash. The key is kept outside the database, so a copied database can't be turned back into addresses.
- Image metadata. Every image is decoded and rebuilt from its pixels: EXIF, GPS location, camera serials, editing history and anything hidden in the file are discarded, along with the original file and its name.
- Logs. The site's code writes no request or error logs.
- Cookies or trackers for visitors. No analytics, ads, fonts, scripts or images are loaded from other domains, and links you click don't reveal where you came from.
What it stores, and for how long
- The text and rebuilt image you post, until deleted or its thread falls off the board.
- The hashed address attached to each post, for 7 day(s) only — enough to enforce bans and rate limits — then it's erased.
- If you're banned: the hashed address and the reason, until the ban expires.
- A random delete password kept in your browser so you can delete your own posts. The server keeps only a hash of it.
What we can't control
Like every website, this one runs on a hosting provider whose servers may keep their own standard access logs (which can include IP addresses) under the host's policies. For stronger anonymity, use Tor Browser or a trustworthy VPN, and don't post anything that identifies you.
